About
The Tintypery is an Old Time photography studio located on Main Street in Historic Downtown St. Charles, Missouri. The Tintypery has been providing Old Time photos on Main Street for over 30 years. We provide authentic costumes and props from the 1860′s through the 1930′s. In minutes we’ll transform you into a Cowboy, Saloon Girl, Southern Belle or Gentleman, Victorian Lady or Gentleman, Civil War General, Flapper, or one of our other exiciting styles from days past.
In about 15 minutes you’ll be transported to an era past and back with a photo to prove it. Let us help make your next visit to St. Charles a fun and memorable experience!
The Tintypery is currently owned and operated by Steven Nicholas (Nick) Strupp. Nick purchased The Tintype Photo Parlour in January 2007 and changed the name back to its original, The Tintypery. Nick is the fourth owner of The Tintypery, and the studio has remained largely unchanged since its inception over 30 years ago. In 2007 The Tintypery expanded on its photography roots to include many new forms of photography in addition to its core business of Old Time photography. We now provide wedding, event, and portrait photography. 2008 has been a year of change as well. We introduced tin prints and have increased efficiency greatly with the introduction of some new printers. 2009 will see much more growth and many more changes for The Tintypery.
